EU Agrifood Think Tank Coalition

This is a purpose-driven network, currently made up of seven Think Tanks from across Europe, with the aim of contributing to and working towards a political and policy landscape that supports the current EU climate and nature targets as applied to the AgriFood system.

  • The network aims to drive positive change in the EU policy framework to support a fair and just transition towards a more environmentally sustainable food system, advancing climate mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity, and the preservation and restoration of natural resources for consumers, workers, and farmers alike. Its added value lies in its structure, which enables partners to exchange intelligence, collaborate, and align on key policy dossiers, strengthening each member’s influence in their national context while collectively amplifying impact on EU decision-making, particularly within the European Council and the European Commission.

The primary objective is contributing to and working towards apolitical and policy landscapes that support the current EU climate and nature targets as applied to the AgriFood system.

  • In 2025, Convene worked alongside the Network offering broad strategic support to its continuous evolution and long-term sustainability, strengthening its intra and extra collaboration capacity, building shared ownership and the ability to adapt to shifting needs and external contexts through:

    • Regular strategic exchanges with the Network curators

    • Design and facilitation of biannual strategic workshops to strengthen decision-making capacity and collective ownership within the Network

    • Ad-hoc training to strengthen Network Secretariat’s competences, facilitation skills and ability to deliver workshops.

  • This project is ongoing. Results will be shared upon completion.
